who we are
We are 4x4 enthusiasts who appreciate the beauty of the land and love the challenge that offroading provides. We are everyday people from all over the islands that want to ensure that off-road trails are provided, maintained and supervised in a responsible manner to allow for greater access and adventure in the Hawaiian back country.
Wheather you've got a dedicated hardcore trail only rig, or a local braddah who uses a 4 wheel drive to get to your favorite fishing spot, we are here for you, working to protect your 4 wheeling interest.
What Can We Do For You
We give you the voice of a 1000 and access to state and federal organizations. We inform you of legislative action. We provide lists of legal trails and rules for access. To Join Hawaii 4x4 Association or to Donate
Yearly membership is just $10.00. This is a small price to pay to have someone stand up for you, the 4 wheeling enthusiast, and protect your 4 wheeling interest and to fight back and get additional trails opened. Your kokua is greatly appreciated. Mahalos.
We are an educational organization, as outlined under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, to unite off-road vehicle enthusiasts and to provide programs of benefit for their and society’s good with respect for Hawaiian cultural values and the Hawaiian landscape. We are dedicated to the opening of existing trails for 4x4 vehicle recreational use on all of the Hawaiian Islands. We are dedicated to the opening of Off Road Vehicle parks (ORV), on the main Hawaiian Islands. We intend to assist the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources in the above listed efforts so as to assist in relieving the burden of surveying, maintaining and managing of 4x4 trails for the enjoyment of Hawaiian 4x4 enthusiasts and their ohana.
We will promote among H4X4A members and the Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) enthusiast community at large, awareness on matters concerning safety; sound conservation practices; education on culturally sensitive areas; appropriate trail etiquette; and methods to effectively participate and interact in the formulation of public policy
We will educate the public at large about the activities of the Association and to instill a favorable image with respect to the positive aspects and societal benefits derived from off-road recreation in general and the activities of H4X4A in particular.
